Dava, not sure what you mean about Ference dividing the dressing room last year, and i agree he shouldnt have said anything but i think he is well liked in that locker room, why?? well there have been at LEAST 3-4 times THIS year that he had a teammates back.....one was the other night, after a late shot, he jumped the guy, another was when lucic took a high hit, Ference right in there and jumped the guy, they showed a few others tonight. Id say his teammates love him. I dont think he's great, but he's ok.
8 goal night!!! crazyyyy game but a BIG 2 pts!!! oh Dava there still scoring at the same pace, you said it was a 1-2 week thing or a few games here and there, there still right near the top in goals per game.....6th, but maybe 5th after 8 goals tonight lol
another nice stat is....5 on 5 the Bruins are 1st in goal differential

I was having DiPietro flashbacks when Thomas dropped the gloves.. I never want to see that again.

Was it just me or did any of you get a weird vibe from Tuukka during the post game interview with Tappen, Gord and Milbury? Thought he said "they" instead of "we" a few times, i could be mistaken. Just seemed to me like he wasnt really into the win, or the team for that matter. I could just be imagining all of this.

Mud, Richards is going to be a UFA after this season also.So if the Stars don"t think they will be able to sign him they would trade him if the right deal was offered. This might be a good year for the Bruins to go after a top notch rental knowing that CJ and PC have their jobs on the line if the Bruins don't get past the second round. I wish I could have seen the game but I listened to it in the truck. It was a fun game to listen to.

Wow!!! Last night I watched the most excited, action packed and most entertaining hockey game ever!! That was awesome, I could only imagine how good it would have been to watch it live. And the icing on top was the Bruins beat the their most hated rival in the game and in the fights.

Hell yeah Rich that was sit on the edge of the couch type game. I really would like to see the Bruins play like this every game for 60 minutes they will be tough to beat. Hate the fact they scored 6 on Thomas his GAA went up to 1.91. The four lines were on last night hopefully this carries over to the Red Wings game. Am glad Paille got suspended cause i kept thinking why not bring up Caron and last night it showed why he deserves to be up playing with the big boys. Hamill is starting to get into a grove his first game wasn't to good but last night he showed some signs that he can play at high level. I don't want the healthy scratch to Seguin bring down his confindence but we have to be honest the last few games he seemed like he wasn't up to par even though he scored a goal. He was losing the puck, his passing wasn't on point and he was get knocked off the puck in the corners. He's only 19 but he really needs to bulk up more and start fixing his psychical game we'll see how he comes in next year. All in all the Bruins have a great cast of players to make a GREAT run in the playoffs. PC better make a BIG move to help this team to really get over the top. GO BRUINS!!!!!!

Why would the Dallas Stars who are in 1st place trade their #1 point scorer? For Ryder who is a UFA and wheeler RFA???

Reason!
Dallas has money problems and are selling team.  They most certainly will get nothing for Richards after the season.
They wouldn't for Ryder and Wheeler but they would for Toronto's 1st round Pick, a Prospect and Wheeler.

No they won't. Talk about losing season ticket holders and commercial sponsers. The Stars are in first place and their going to trade their #1 guy? No way. Kevin Paul Dupont knows nothing about hockey .

He is the union rep for the Bruins and the players thought it was a backhanded and sneaky wayt the union reps handled the president of the players association when the fired him. Recchi and Ference had a fight right in the locker room over it. Since January eighteenth  they have been shutout twice in nine games. Yes they have scored 6 goals twice in that span and 8 goals in another but in that nine game span even with those three games I mentioned they still only managed a 3.33 goals for in that time. So overall over the last 9 games there goals for average is well just that average.

Now having said that I loved the eight goal output last night. The fights were great too.

Dava, seriously, come on now, lol....are you serious?? 1st off 3.33 goals per game ISNT average....Did you know that ONLY 6 teams in the league average over 3 goals per game? well yes only 6..........2nd its funny how you pick Jan 18th, when on Jan 17th the Bruins scored 7 goals, and the 3 games before that they scored 2, 7 and 6..........bottom line is you look at the WHOLE year. THIS team IS scoring goals. they rank 5th with a 3.11 GPG ave.........you said a few weeks ago that it pretty much wont continue like this, that they will struggle to score. well ive yet to see that ALL year........they went from a middle of the pack offense( not bad) to a top 5 scoring team. im surprised myself, i figured they'd be right around 14-15th in scoring.

They need to get the PP working, other then that, this team is playing some pretty good hockey.....11-5-2 in the new year!

I didn't think scoring was a problem at all this season. For the most part they have been able to score , the problem was the very slow starts. The lack of ability to play a complete game. I think the many people calling for the coach to be fired got his attention. Since the rumors that he might be on his way out he seems to have them ready to play more often than not. The team has started to turn it on, i hope they can keep it going.

I hate to say it but Marc Savard coming back early  affected the entire lineup.  Top line stopped producing.  Marc is awesome, but he was nowhere near ready to comeback, and it affected the entire offense from the top down as the lines were juggled.  Horton and Lucic seem to be clicking again, Krecji is picking it up, and Bergeron Recchi and Marchand are just simply rock steady productive.

The other players are now realizing if there is going to be a top line, it has to be without Savvy for the season.  If Savard did not come back early, maybe he wouldn't have been in that position to be hurt.

I hope he gets better, as it took Bergy a couple of years to get back to his level, it may be a lot longer.

Really can't believe the Bruins would play that bad after a game they had vs the Habs. The only thing now is to see how they bounce back Sunday. Rask looked like he didn't wanna play as did the whole team. Gotta give kudos to the Red Wings they saw opportunity and jumped all over it. The Bruins need to be up for every game show some effort cause in the playoffs you will pay. Looked like the last two periods of game 7 vs the Flyers. Need to pick it up we'll see.

Red Wings are simply great at consistency.  Bruins need to learn from this past weekend as they were taken to school by the best team out there.  The Bruins needed an A game to win, and they tried two different approaches, and both were not good enough.  Passing was very sloppy on occassions, but again, that could be credited to the Wings.

2 of those goals were totally given to the Wings on silver platters though.. Marchand's backhand pass to Bertuzzi, and McQuaid falling over TT.
Really thought the 3rd period could have been a great statement if they could have scored... they had that one shift that looked like a powerplay, and then after that, it was just nothing.   Like they played for 2 minutes the entire 3rd.
Again, Bruins need to take some notes from this weekend.

a couple of things about the back to back games with the wings...this was a measuring stick for the Bruins as to where they are in relation to the elite teams...and they still have a way's to go. It was a given that they would lose Friday's game after such a game against the hated Canadians...I hated the fact that Rask gets stuck with that game...and he gets pulled...when Thomas should have been pulled in the Canadians game. And today the Bruins defense looked more than terrible. As for Thomas...despite this league leading goals against, and best save percentage....he is one of the very worst goalies in the league on a breakaway, one on one, or 2 on one. Anyways it is only 2 games...but man the Bruins looked like they are aways away from being at the level of the Wings.

The Bruins flat out sucked the last 2 games.  They need someone that can put the biscuit in the net and a puck moving defenseman, so I hear.

Hoping they kick the S@!# out of Toronto tonight! Hope to see them ride Kessel like a rented mule! I don't think Savard being gone is a big  deal. We need a scorer in the trade deadline!

Maple Leafs defenseman Tomas Kaberle may be forcing general manager Brian Burke 's hand.

According to Sportsnet.ca, the 32-year-old defenseman would only waive his no-trade clause if Burke could work out a deal that would send him to Boston.

The report, citing sources, says that Kaberle has "granted the Maple Leafs permission to speak to only the Boston Bruins regarding a potential trade."

I know some are against getting Kaberle, but id love to get him. He's just the puck moving defensemen we need, it ALL depends what we have to give up.
