That's a valid question, although not a valid comparison.  Cole is a true big man with a good mid range game and good instincts on defense.   Will he be a great NBA center?  The odds say no but that is the case with most big men coming out of college.   I do know that he will go very high in the draft and therefore make a great living for himself so as long as he works hard and doesn't take it personal that he may not play much early on then I think he will be in the league for a long time.   Hansbrough on the other hand is a big question mark.   He is a 'tweener and I am of the opinion he will get out quicked and out muscled depending on where he is playing.  I love the kid's heart and motor but there is an ocean full of players of that mold who flamed out in the NBA.

Tyler Hansborough....I never thought he'd do well in the NBA.  He certainly won't get the respect from the NBA refs that he got in the NCAA which allowed him to shoot more free throws than anybody in college history.  That said, he's been playing very well in the summer leagues.  I know it's not against solid NBA competition, but maybe he's better than I gave him credit for.  I actually hope he succeeds.

Okay has anybody checked into or thought about the fact that this might be the longest thread on a team message board?  I don't know how you would go about seeing into that, but if there's a way, you definately should.  Could be a record

I can't do live blogs.  When the games are on, I sit my happy ass two feet from the flat panel with a beer in one hand and the rewind button ready to be pushed with the other hand.

How about Austin Etherington?  #57 overall player in 2011 per scout to join Matt Carlino.  Solid class so far!

What up homeys....ur....I mean Hoosiers?

Etherington looks like a good get for Crean...a lot of positive press from this summer.  Seems to be a lot of interest which will make the scholly manuevering quite interesting.  Rumor starting flying when Etherington made a comment about the possibility of Jeremiah Davis from Muncie Central committing.  Plus, you still have the Kyrie Irving and Marquis Teague derbies going strong.  Stacey Poole, Justin Coleman and Moses Morgan still seem to have IU high their lists....  Should be fun to watch it all unfold.

I am up for it!  We are not going to any Gopher games this season, so that will not interfere with Hoosier games.  I am so excited for football to start.  I miss seeing Crimson.  I haven't had ESPN on hardly at all in the last how many months.  I miss beer too.

Things have been good.  Kids are good.  I have been busy volunteering for nonprofit work - Airedale Terrier Rescue -  that I love.  I am still trying to figure out what is going on with my neuro condition, but that will come!  I feel out of touch with Hoosier sports as well.  Haven't been on here much since April.  I am hoping things will settle down at home once school starts and our foster dog finds her forever home.

What's new with you?  How are your kids?  Are they all still in baseball?  Still coaching?
